JOHN H.MORTIMORES OF FENTON HONORED AT GOLDEN WEDDING
Mr. and Mrs. John H. Mortimore, 404 Main St., were honored by the Golden Age Group at a special celebration in honor of their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The affair was arranged by their daughter, Mrs. Harriett Mortimore Tommey, of Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Mortimore were married in Flint on October 6, 1903 and lived on a farm near Grand Blanc until 1908, when they moved to Flint, where they lived for five years. In 1913 they came to Fenton where Mr. Mortimore was engaged in the farm implement business for a number of years.
He later became associated with the late E.H.Stiles in the auctioneering firm of Stiles & Mortimore. For the last few years he ahs been with the Industrial Machine Tool Co. here.
They have another daughter, Mrs. A.L.Nelson of California, whose husband is a major in the Marine Corps, now serving in Korea.
